“I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve as a mentor in this program.
This experience has been incredibly rewarding, and I feel I have grown significantly both personally and professionally through this role. It has been a pleasure to work with my mentee, Lorna, she has shown remarkable progress and has benefited greatly from our sessions. Seeing her development has been the highlight of this experience for me.
Thank you again for your support and for making this mentorship possible.”

“Thank you Phoenix Analytics!! It has been a beautiful journey knowing I am capable and an honor to be part of this program.
Sometimes we just need the push and I am happy the blur I had at the beginning has faded. I am grateful.”

“I had a great experience at the AI Agent Summit. It was inspiring to see talented and forward-thinking individuals come together to develop innovative solutions and ensure we remain competitive in the rapidly evolving world of AI. This kind of collaboration is exactly what our tech ecosystem needs. I truly appreciate the vision behind the event, and I’m already looking forward to the next summit”

“The Excel master class was pure excellence. Michael and Ezra delivered pure gold, I came from not knowing anything to creating cool dashboards. I've created an invoice template that saves in pdf and a data entry form for a chronic disease clinic I run courtesy of macros taught by Michael. I now know it's possible, requires much effort, focus and plugging into communities but still very possible”

“It was through Susan I got the opportunity to get in touch with a company, an oil company that is expanding its IT department. I was able to discuss much and open a consultancy window, through which there may be collaboration on setting up some of the standardized operating procedures and on critical ERP.
On the side I have been tutoring some students, the most recent a first year level student who I encourage to join impactful communities such Phoenix Analytics.. Phoenix features quite a lot due to Susan's prowess in both coordinating the newbies and legacy developers.”

“Phoenix has offered me a collaborative platform. I am at peace because of your guidance.
I have shipped 2 projects already which was faster than doing it all without consulting the team.
Keep it up. Thank you.”

“You did so well, Susan, in breaking down really complex cybersecurity and tech, and data issues, to our client’s team. Super proud of you.
I learnt a lot too, about how vulnerable our organizational systems can be, not just from possible hacking gateways, but from reliance on unchecked, or ‘unclean’ information. The importantance of #data engineering and #data mapping were some key takeaways.
All in all, the client greatly benefited from the practical tips our respective teams shared.
I look forward to more cybersecurity and corporate investigations collaborations and thought leadership opportunities with you”

“The Canvas Narrative Ltd, is a marketing-tech firm that builds brands through creative and strategic storytelling…. (but we don’t guess.) We use data to decide what stories to tell, who to tell them to, and where to spend our clients’ money so it actually works. In our world, vibes are nice… but numbers pay the bills.
That’s why hiring the right data mind mattered. We didn’t need someone who just loved spreadsheets, we needed someone who could understand marketing, brand building, strategic storytelling, audiences, and performance. That’s where Phoenix came in. They took time to understand who we are, how we work, and the kind of thinker we needed. Then, they filtered their talent pool and sent us candidates who actually made sense for a fast-moving creative agency like ours. We ran the interviews, and one person stood out immediately: Winny.
Winny joined us as an intern, already equipped with strong analytical skills, a sharp mind, and an impressive willingness to learn. We plugged her straight into real campaigns (not theory) and she ran with it. Fast forward a year later, and she’s now our Intelligence Lead, working across multiple marketing campaigns to make sure our creative work is solving real client needs. She gives our management team clear, ongoing, data-driven insights on how every campaign is performing, what’s working, what’s not, and where to pivot.
Phoenix didn’t just help us hire someone. They helped us build a critical part of our company.
And Winny? She’s proof that when the right talent meets the right environment, magic…. (and results of cause) happen!
So would I hire from Phoenix again? Absolutely”

Hiring Talent
“Choosing a mentor is not easy. For me, selecting Phoenix KE Analytics was a deliberate decision. I wanted to position myself outside my country and my comfort zone, and to understand how analysts in different environments approach data.
Angela and her team paired me with a mentor who truly reflected a younger version of himself. Throughout this journey, I interviewed for a data scientist role, was shortlisted, and reached the final stage-falling just short at the end. I successfully completed my first year of postgraduate studies and was entrusted with a database engineering project at work, among many other milestones.
I Honestly, I am not the same person I was before this experience.”

“I joined as a mentor in the second cohort, and it has been an incredibly rewarding learning experience. Engaging with data professionals from diverse domains has broadened my perspective and enriched my knowledge.
Across the two cohorts, I've gained insights from industries such as agriculture, telecommunications, consulting, manufacturing, and retail. One memorable moment was during a job application process when a mentee conducted a mock interview with me. This not only helped me prepare but also gave the mentee valuable exposure to the interview process.
My approach to mentorship has always been to treat all mentees as equals and foster accountability throughout the data journey. This creates an environment where conversations flow easily, and skills are optimized during the learning process.
I've truly enjoyed every step of this mentorship journey and look forward to continuing to contribute to the lasting impact of this program.”

“I transitioned from sales into data. My transition wasn't hard because of the domain-no. It was hard because of imposter syndrome I felt like a fraud and even thought about quitting within my first week. However, I had already relocated, so going back wasn't an option. I stayed.
I had never had a mentor before, but I knew I needed someone to guide me. That's why I applied to Phoenix Mentorship. I was paired with a mentor named Collins Bahati who quite literally changed my life and saved my career. He transformed how I view myself, believed in me when I didn't believe in myself, and reminded me that I was capable. I truly believe that in life, you need people who remind you that you can do it.
Collins is exceptionally skilled in Power BI a tool I use regularly at work, and he shared invaluable tips that have greatly improved my confidence and performance.
Today, I want to give four people their flowers.
My mentor and friend Collins Bahati,Angela who interviewed me and paired me with him, The Founder of Phoniex mentorship program and ofcourse me.”

“Hi Angela,my apologies for the late response. Overall, I had a great experience during Cohort 3. I genuinely enjoyed the journey, and it was both insightful and rewarding. My mentor, Elsie, was incredibly supportive throughout the program. She guided me well, shared relevant resources when needed, and was always open and approachable, which made learning much easier and more enjoyable.
One highlight I really appreciated was how she paired us with another mentor group and had both mentors work together to guide us through a main project that both teams were involved in. This approach gave me a glimpse of how real marketplace or industry projects work...where different strengths, perspectives, and skills come together to make a project successful. It was eye-opening and very practical.
I also loved the collaborative energy and joy within the group. The environment felt encouraging rather than intimidating, which Pomade it easier to ask questions, learn, and grow. Overall, the mentorship gave me exposure, confidence, and a better understanding of teamwork in real world projects. I'm grateful for the experience and would definitely recommend the program to others. Hopefully, I'll volunteer as a mentor come next year.
Thank you once again for the opportunity and for creating a space that truly supports growth.”
